What changed

Live since the 25 Sep write-up.

JFI

  • The orb is alive and in your brand blue (#caeafb): moods, eyes that follow taps and typing, sparks when you win.
  • JFI's chat panel went blue to match. It flies out of the orb on an arc and unfolds; closing folds it back.
  • Voice mode gives the orb a bigger stage (88 px).
  • After JFI takes you somewhere, it peeks over the card it's helping with.
  • One tap on JFI (Home, builder, meal guide) opens the chat. A Talk button sits in the box while it's empty.
  • Greeting gives the next step only. Suggestion chips read as suggestions. Exercise ideas only use kit you have.
  • "What's today" reads the schedule properly: today's workout, or the next one and its date.
  • Behind the scenes: JFI runs on the OpenAI API while the router is out of capacity. It switches back on its own around 30 Sep.

Training

  • Workout logger: calm cards, an iOS-style Edit mode and drag to reorder.
  • "Today's workout" opens the workout, not the Training tab.
  • Program builder is smoother. Program JFI keeps your edits, and "no barbell" swaps every barbell exercise.
  • Pounds work in the logger, editor, Challenge and profile. One rest timer.

Food

  • Meal guide in one tap on the coach's targets. The AI disclaimer is accepted once, then a quiet line.
  • Meal guide JFI matches the builder: asks about exclusions first, suggestions fit the meal's size.
  • Type it in picks Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner or Snack from the time of day.
  • Meal scanner fixed. Macro boxes keep decimals (1.5 no longer saves as 15). Zero macros show as empty boxes.
  • "Log all meals" counts food diary meals.

Challenge, Home and the rest

  • Challenge: one Play card, a rolling points total, plain words, Club and Community above Play.
  • Steps: a Custom goal chip, reads as a daily average, and the steps habit names your current goal.
  • JFmoji builder opens on your saved look.
  • Home is built around Today. The + is a create menu (glass + kept, as you asked).
  • Calmer motion: faster arrivals, no stacked animations on tab switches.
  • Snap Fitness Chelsea Heights added (opens 28 Sep).

Built, waiting to ship (round 5)

  • Messages sit at the bottom of the screen: the gap above the box is gone (trainer chat, Jamie's thread, community rooms).
  • Group rooms look like the trainer chat and follow the keyboard. Typing in a room went from 800 ms to 56 ms per key.
  • JFI blue everywhere: the builder and meal guide chat sheet, Talk pill, send button, reply ring and nudge lost their old violet.
  • More screen: one calm icon family instead of five colours.
  • Voice does what it says before it says it (no more "I've opened X" without opening it) and knows your training week.
  • Meal photo scan keeps whole meal names and matches foods by name and cooking method.
  • When JFI is busy it says "busy, try again in a moment" and retries, instead of a generic error.

Started, not finished

  • JFI navigation bug: asking JFI to open your chat can land on More, and a stuck reply bubble can cover the +. Fix was half done.
  • A fresh-eyes design pass over every screen (17 files changed, not reviewed yet).
  • Scroll smoothness on Challenge and Training: measured janky under load, fix not started.
  • JFI chat box re-renders on every key (the same fix the group rooms got).

Your call

  • Challenge rarity colours and celebrations still use violet. Keep them as the Challenge's own language, or make them match?
  • Every client shares 4 AI requests at once (JFI, builder, meal guide). Fine for the pilot, tight for a full launch.
